Winning the War: The Role of Technology

September 23, 15:00-16:15

Russia’s war in Ukraine has illustrated how a combination of innovation, mass and strategic coherence can create military advantages in modern warfare. This panel will explore the relationship between innovation, military mass, and combat effectiveness, highlighting how technologies such as AI and autonomous systems, and systems for ‘innovation at the speed of war’ might be developed alongside more traditional mass to ensure military success. It will also consider the vital question of how to find the right balance between these elements.
