Matthias Hespe
Policy Advisor for Maritime Security at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung
Matthias Hespe is the Policy Advisor for Maritime Security in the International and Security Affairs Department at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Berlin. Before joining KAS headquarters in July 2024, he worked for two years as a Scientific Associate in the KAS Regional Programme Political Dialogue South Caucasus based in Tbilisi (Georgia) and Yerevan (Armenia). Mr Hespe gained work experience at the German Bundestag, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), among others, and worked in Ukraine in 2017-18. He holds an MA in political science from the University of Bonn.
