James Black
Assistant Director of the Defence and Security Research Division, RAND Europe
James Black is the Assistant Director of the Defence and Security Research Division at RAND Europe, the European arm of the RAND Corporation, the world’s largest non-profit policy research organisation. In this capacity, he leads RAND’s Defence Strategy, Policy, and Capability portfolio of research and wargaming for European MoDs and militaries, as well as EU and NATO institutions. He also recently served as a non-resident NATO 2030 Fellow and previously worked in the UK Parliament and at Transparency International’s Defence and Security Programme.
