Ian Brzezinski
Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council
Ian Brzezinski is a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, serving at the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security and the Europe Center. He also leads the Brzezinski Group, LLC, a strategic advisory services firm. He brings over three decades of experience in US national security matters. Mr Brzezinski served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO policy, a Senior Professional Staff Member on the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, and Assistant for National Security Affairs to the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. Mr Brzezinski served as a volunteer in Ukraine (1993–94), advising the Government and Parliament and on the policy planning staff in the Defense Department. He was a principal at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. For his public service, Mr Brzezinski was awarded the US Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service and Estonia's Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana, among other recognitions.
