Heiko Borchert
Co-Director of Defense AI Observatory
Dr Heiko Borchert is Co-Director of the Hamburg-based Defense AI Observatory at the Helmut Schmidt University and runs Borchert Consulting & Research AG, a strategic affairs consulting boutique. For more than 25 years, he has been working on a broad set of national security and defence issues, engaged in setting up various defence capability and technology development consortia for the EU’s Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) as well as the Preparatory Action on Defense Research (PADR). Dr Borchert was instrumental in several defence export campaigns of major European defence companies.
