Adrian Ciolponea
Supreme Allied Command Representative in Europe at NATO ACT
Major General Adrian Ciolponea was appointed as Supreme Allied Command Transformation Representative in Europe at NATO HQ in August 2023. Prior to this, he was the Land Component Commander and a Special Advisor to the Defence Minister in Romania. Having started his military career in 1988, Maj Gen Ciolponea has been assigned to numerous command and staff positions for operations and training, reconnaissance, special operations and airborne operations, both in Romania and abroad. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in the use and integration of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) in military operations.
